Turkish turnkey solution provider Robosistem Elektronik has entered the Indian market in partnership with engineering heavyweight Brady & Morris Engineering Co. Ltd. The duo will be offering automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) under the brand name Robostore.

Maersk Line slashes BAF surcharge

Container shipping major Maersk Line has announced in a trade advisory dated 18 November 08 that it will be reducing its Bunker Adjustment Factor surcharge on all trades from the West Coast of South America (including Northern Colombia) to Indian Subcontinent and Middle East Asia.

The new rates are significantly lower, coming down from USD 684 to USD 377 per TEU, and from USD 1368 to USD 754 per FEU.

These new rates will be effective from 1st December 2008.
