Arshiya International has received formal notification by the Commerce Ministry that its Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) at Panvel, Mumbai has been gazetted as deemed foreign territory.
The formal approval for this FTWZ was recieved from the Board of Approval (BoA) of SEZs in December 2008.
This formal notification makes Arshiya International the first logistics company to develop and operate a FTWZ at Panvel.
Located near JNPT and the proposed international airport in Navi Mumbai, the site is connected to major artery roads and a rail terminal.
In February, the company recieved the second formal approval from the BoA of SEZ for setting up its FTWZ in Khurja, NCR. This is the second of the five FTWZs being set up by the company in the country.
